FAQ

  • What kind of stem-cells do you provide?
We provide the most potent stem cells available - embryonic and autologous stem cells. We do not provide the far less-effective adult stem cells or umbilical stem cells.
  • How do Stemaid's stem-cells differ from those offered by other clinics/centers/doctors?
Stemaid is the only company in the world offering embryonic stem cells and autologous embryonic stem cells. Embryonic stem-cells are up to 6x more potent in their ability to help the human body heal itself than that of adult-stem-cells or umbilical-stem-cells. While autologous embryonic stem-cells are up to 10x more potent.

  • How does Stemaid ensure the quality of its stem-cells?
Freezing stem-cells reduces the efficacy and number of stem-cells available for use by your body once they are injected. We work with doctors to ensure that stem-cells are counted prior to injection, without any additional freezing. This ensures that patients always receive a minimum of 3 million stem-cells per injection. (Greater numbers are available on request). Some clinics or doctors purchase stem-cells in a frozen state, and simply 'defrost' them prior to injection, so even if there were 3 million stem-cells prior to freezing, by the time they reach your body, you are receiving less stem-cells than you were told, or possibly none at all! Regardless of who you choose for your stem-cell therapy, be sure to make sure that the stem cell count is done in the last stage - prior to injection and without additional freezing.
  • Can I speak with a patient who has been treated?
Yes, we can arrange phone conversations with one of our patients. Some have been kind enough to accept to share their experiences with those who are currently considering stem cell therapy.
  • What laboratory tests do you require?
Every patient must provide laboratory test results that show at least CBC, creatinine, TSH, ADT and ALS. More items may be requested depending on the patient's ailment.
Any medical report detailing the patient's condition will be highly beneficial as it will help us to define the most adapted treatment strategy.
  • What is the average cost of the treatment?
The cost of treatment includes the fee for producing the stem-cells as well as the cost of organizing their injection with one of our partnered doctors.

    Embryonic Stem Cells:
Standard ESC are now available at a cost of $10,000 for 3 million cells, or $15,000 for 5 million cells.

    Autologous Embryonic Stem Cells:
Are derived from cloning, and require more dedicated work and expertise. The cost of producing these type of stem cells is evaluated on a case by case basis. An average of $80,000 is usually required to establish a line of personalized embryonic stem cells which also includes the first 3 millions stem cells for injection. Once produced, you may have additional treatments at the standard Embryonic Stem Cell rate shown above.
  • Are there any other costs that I should be aware of?
Depending on the type of treatment that has been adapted to your case, Stemaid will partner with one or several doctors/ surgeons who will deliver the cells to the part of your body that needs it. Once they have established the most suitable protocol, we will give you the estimated cost of stem cell delivery. It may vary from $1,600 for a simple intravenous procedure to as much as $50,000 for a long and delicate surgery such as in the case of spinal injury.
  • Are there side effects and what are the risks, if any?
To date, Stem Cell therapy has produced no negative side effects; nor are there any medically or scientifically anticipated risks outside that of a routine outpatient injection.
  • How long does the procedure take?
If you are given a simple intravenous injection , the duration of the actual procedure will not exceed 2 hours.
If the injection is done in another part of your body and requires anesthesia, it may take several hours and could include an overnight recovery within the treatment facility.
Additional details can be provided to you by one of Stemaid's patient-care coordinators.
  • My doctor would like to receive information about stem cell therapy? How can I provide him with it?
Once the treating physicians have received your medical information, we can arrange for one of them to talk to your doctor.

After a doctor with experience in Stem Cell therapy speaks to a patient's doctor and answers all questions directly, the patient’s doctor will usually become much more comfortable and supportive.

Of course, once you return home, your own doctor will be handling your follow-up care and we will appreciate being informed of your progress.
  • Do you bill Insurance?
    No.
